A NICE BIT OF REGGAE - THE SCAM AND THE SATYA DUB ORCHESTRA AT THE RED LION

Apologies but this one's just a 'quickie' - Now, as you may be aware, many of my friends and I enjoy all sorts of music and it's nice to have a bit of variety, well, thanks to SoundArc Promotions we were treated to some top class reggae at The Red Lion in Stevenage on Thursday night (28th July) in the form of The Scam, that's Cara-Jane from The Defekters & Steve from Easydread who treated us to an excellent acoustic set followed by Peterborough's finest Dub-Reggae six piece, the Satya Dub Orchestra.

The Red Lion was bouncing!

Hailing from Peterborough, the Satya Dub Orchestra are, Will Wells, Emile Pleasance, Marcel Pleasance, Kieran Singh, Chris Doyle, Joe Roberts, Andy Hughes, David Maddison, Mark Wilkinson, playing a great mixture of reggae, funk & dub these guys really rock and were just the thing to bounce along to on a warm Thursday night accompanied by a few pints of Greene King's new and deceptively dangerous summer beer, "Rum runner".

All in all a damn fine night out, if you like reggae / dub then if you get the chance do pop out and see The Scam and the Satya Dub Orchestra, you won't be disappointed.

Cheers m' dears
